Our systems will tell us exactly where our demographic is in your city, their traffic patterns, and and more. Our program compares them against other Roni’s Mac Bar stores to find the spots with the highest likelihood of being a cash-cow.
Our real estate team handles all of the negotiations and details when obtaining your spot/lease.
Build it!
You found your spot! Now what? We create the design for you, place the equipment virtually, and make the remodel/new-build process easy to follow.
We help find contractors, get the bids, and hold your hand all the way to ribbon cutting and beyond.
Learn how to be an owner
So now you have a spot, but you don’t know what to do with it! Go through our training, which covers the basics like how to run the store, all the way to the necessities of running a business from an ownership point of view.
You will learn operations, leadership, administrative tasks, and ways to scale these to let you grow to as many locations as you want.

What’s the point of opening a store if nobody goes to it? Once you’re trained on operations, we need to let people know you’re about to open. We follow a 4 phase marketing plan that builds initial hype all around your area, and takes advantage of our millions of followers, to laser focus eyes on your location.
After Grand Opening we maintain a strong marketing presence for free, with ads that we pay for, a free marketing assistant that runs your socials, and much more.

YOU DID IT! Your store is finally open, and our marketing team is firing on all cylinders to push as many people to your location as possible.
Since you and your team are still new, we make sure this day goes smoothly by keeping a corporate presence physically in the store for a couple of weeks to help answer any questions, and give tips on best practices.
Now what?
You’re in business FOR yourself, but not BY yourself. You will be assigned several people from corporate, all who have real-world experience running the different aspects of Roni’s.
They will be someone you can call when you have questions, but also someone that will check in and potentially see issues that you might not even see. For example, your labor cost might be 3% higher than the company average, but you wouldn’t know that, leaving potentially thousands of $ on the table!

FAQs
While some restaurant experience is nice to have, it’s not as important as you might think. Our goal is to make owning a business accessible to anyone, which means we needed to make our systems super easy to use. We can train the skills needed to run your business, but we cannot train someone to have drive, motivation, or a good personality. These are what are most important.
No, in fact pretty much all of our locations signed on as Franchisees before a location had been found. Once you become a Franchisee our real estate team will work with you to find the perfect location (whether you rent it or buy it) using our knowledge of where will give you the best chances of success.
There genuinely isn’t a one-number-fits-all. There are many factors at play such as which city you are in, if you qualify for any incentives, the number of locations you want to open, if the building we land on needs to be updated or not, etc. The best way for us to zero in on this number for you is to get to know what you want. Every franchise company excels in one way or another – that’s why people become their franchisees in the first place! Some places excel at making every square inch of a building worth more with efficiency, others excel at the customer experience. What we chose to excel at was making successful businesses accessible to anyone.
This means we know our strength is in the success of our franchisees – many of whom have never owned a restaurant before, let alone a business. We are not a franchise company that will simply get you up and running and then move on to the next store. At Roni’s you will get paired with a “Franchise Rep” that stays with you throughout your entire time as a franchisee. These reps know the operations inside and out – they are meant to be your mentor, help you with crushing your operations, fly out from time to time to check in, and help you learn to fix issues before they become big problems.
This will entirely depend on your goals. We have franchisees that “live” at their stores because they want to, and we have others that bring on a General Manager to run the day-to-day for them. We expect most franchisees will want to bring on General Managers as they expand, since it’s impossible to be in several places at once. For those that want to be their own GM, you can expect 20-40 hours at a well run store.
This will depend on a few things, most of which we will find out while talking one on one. First and foremost is the area you are in, and its potential for growth. Many people have other cities nearby that are drive-able, which makes expansion easy. For those that want to expand, the sky is the limit, but we would develop a personalized plan to see how many stores you could handle opening in years 1, 2, 5, 10, and onwards.
Yes and No. While we would make all the profits at corporate stores instead of letting franchisees get them, the real benefit of franchising the the brand power. We can scale much faster, and with more quality control, if our main focus is on creating sales and systems for the stores, rather than running the stores.
With more stores comes brand deals, which means savings across the board for everyone – something that would take much longer to get if we didn’t franchise. We plan to do 25% corporate stores with 75% franchised stores. This gives us the power of scale driving down costs, as well as having some skin in the game to ensure that our decisions affect us as much as it does the franchisees.
